Responsibilities: As a senior Uniface trainer I was required to conduct various training courses for Uniface versions 5 and 6. These included:
  • Application Development I and II
  • Uniface 5 to Uniface 6 Migration
  • Application environment course
Achievements: Conducted various Uniface training courses. Client sites included:

Northwest Ohio Regional Information Systems, Toledo
As senior technical architect was involved in determining the amount of effort required to complete a system that was under construction.
Compuware internal Uniface discussions and training
Course/working group. Discussed the requirements involved in producing a 120 hour introductory service to new Uniface users.
Attended a train the trainer course for Uniface Application Development course 1
San Francisco Uniface users group conference. Presented a paper on the practical implementation of a component based architecture.

  • Architect future software requirements paying particular attention to security issues
  • Optimizing programming infrastructure to maximize reuse of software components.

  • Involved in a fast track prototyping exercise.
  • Wrote initial draft of Uniface programming standards and guidelines.
  • Wrote initial draft of Uniface GUI standards and guidelines.
  • Investigated security requirements.
  • Helped to provide the architectural software infrastructure definitions for future Kemper projects.
  • Created of various Uniface templates to ensure that the infrastructure is used to the fullest.
  • Provided training to several groups on the use of the infrastructure and templates.
